First month
We devoted this time to finding the most suitable technology for our purposes. When choosing, factors such as: documentation compatibility, ease of integration, protocol scalability, team activity, and much more were taken into account. We settled on IOTA and Shimmer. Shimmer turned out to be the most attractive for us, as a multi-level network capable of making free transactions at the first level (which fits perfectly into the concept of a “wallet for every day”) and performing high-load automated tasks at the 2nd level using smart contracts. Of course, no less important was the fact that assets at different levels can interact with each other without the use of bridge solutions.

The time that we devoted to fruitful work, because we showed the first public version already in July last year! Of course, there is still a lot of work ahead, but our team had no doubt that we were on the right track. It is also worth noting that it was then that we first thought about the problem of scalability. It is common knowledge that the Telegram bot is not capable of serving more than 500,000 users, while the ambition is to involve millions of users in the project.
4–7 months
The hardest time for the team. The collapse of the FTX, as well as other related factors, forced us to completely redesign the concept of the wallet. Centralized management had to be abandoned, but it had to be done carefully, since there were more questions than answers and it was not completely clear which side Telegram was in the inextricable connection between the bot and the web application. Numerous consultations and high expenses (given the fact that we did not attract financing) prompted us to issue our NFT cards, which will certainly serve you as an excellent tool in your Bivreost wallet. By the way, we couldn’t succeed here either, as the result of the collection was an amount of just over $7,000. For the community’s reference, a wallet audit costs about $10,000. But even then we did not lose hope and continued to work hard, but could not devote too much to the project time, since I had to work during the day or study in order to get a salary and spend evenings and nights working on Bivreost. All this happened along with the negativity that still came from some members of the community, although most of course supported us and still remain with us! Low bow to you💙
8–10 months
We would call it a time to get answers to questions that were previously beyond our reach. It seemed we had already found a solution to the existing wallet scalability problem. In which, it was supposed to use additional bots as “mirrors” for access to Bivreost, and although this directly went against the concept of a wallet for every day, in theory this would multiply the number of Bivreost users.
But, after carefully analyzing all the possible outcomes of events, we came to the conclusion that such a solution is nothing more than a bandage with an antidote for a cancerous tumor. On a short stretch of the path it will help, but it is worth turning on the other side and the pain will return with even greater force. In other words, if at some point each of the created bots will encounter a problem … there will be a real disaster. Since a team of 5 people will not be able to solve them quickly. Nevertheless, with great perseverance, we prepared for this and will definitely share our decision later. At the same time, we finally abandoned the centralized basis and completely put the management of funds in the hands of our beloved users.
Our little victory. All thanks to you and your feedback💙
Last 3 months
The most productive time for Bivreost. Almost a month ago we released the first beta version of our wallet, which is working pretty well so far. Met new people and teams. We have announced our exciting partnership with Tangleswap. Bivreost ranks first in the region among other young projects.
Little spoiler.
The Bivreost team was asked to build another bridge to another social network (for entrepreneurs). While the information is not disclosed. And to be honest, we are unlikely to do it now, since we have greatly upset the foreign policy balance of the project, working a lot on the internal component, but devoting very little time to promotion and external work. Now we catch up. Conferences, meetups, competitions and so on.
We have big plans ahead, several major updates that will be the starting point for mass adoption. Very soon, we also wanted to introduce you to a new collection of NFTs that will serve more as a measure of support, but at the same time will have utility and will not become a “one-sided game”, and each element will represent the sector of further development of Bivreost.
Best regards, Team💙 Bivreost
